Panache Art Gallery
About Audrey Cooper
In 2003 at the age of 76, Audrey Cooper picked up a paint brush for the first time and began a career as an Urban Folk Artist. “I had always enjoyed art,” says Audrey Cooper, “but never thought of painting myself. Too busy working making a living and raising four children.”
Ten years later, in 2013, an opportunity to open a gallery turned up and Cooper thought “Why not? and plunged in.” And ArtWithPanache was born.
“By then,” she explains, “I was immersed in London’s art scene and had many artist friends and some pretty definite ideas about promoting and marketing art for the benefit of the painters producing it.”
Four years later, ArtWithPanache is thriving with fine artists creating and showing an array of exciting, contemporary work and the gallery is alive with colour and the joy of original work.
“None of this could have happened without the dedicated help and determination of the gallery artists listed here on our website.” says Cooper. “What they create and their presence in the gallery is what makes it all happen.”
“How does one go about building a great art gallery?” The answer: Find the right artists and they’ll make it happen.
