I paint because I enjoy the process. I have the time, the talent and the tenacity to make it work without a great deal of effort and in a relatively short period of time. It shouldn’t be work and there shouldn’t be rules. I like to work at using acquired skills and constantly mix them with new experiments in creating the image I visualize. I paint primarily from reference and like to learn under the influence of others. I like to take advantage of studying all the good art out there and grow as a painter. All visual art is about initial inspiration, personal challenge and the need to express your interpretation of the subject matter. Once the work is completed, it is meant for sharing.
